Outdoor Kitchen Builder for New-Construction Backyards
Built-in BBQ islands, grills, side burners, refrigeration, stone and concrete countertops, pizza ovens, and bar seating, built into a finished patio so your new backyard becomes the place everyone gathers. The gas, water, and power runs to the island are coordinated with the rest of the backyard build, not bolted on afterward.

A new home is where people want to gather
The reason most buyers move into a new-construction community is the same reason they picture a full backyard: room to host. Birthdays, game days, weekend dinners with the neighbors. A rolling grill parked next to the sliding door does not do that. A built-in outdoor kitchen does, because it gives the yard a center of gravity, a place to cook, serve, and sit that turns an empty patio into the room everyone drifts toward.
The difference between the two is planning. A freestanding grill can be wheeled anywhere, so it needs nothing. A built-in island is fixed masonry with a gas line, often a water line and drain, and power for lighting and refrigeration, all of which have to be located before the patio is poured and the hardscape is set. Add it after the fact and you are cutting into finished concrete, trenching across new pavers, and paying twice. Build it into the backyard project from the start and the utilities are already waiting where the island lands.
One contractor plans the island and the utilities together
Five Stars Builders builds outdoor kitchens as part of the backyard, not as a separate trade you bolt on later. Because we are the general building contractor for the whole yard, the gas, water, and electrical runs to the island are laid out with the patio, the hardscape, and the drainage as one coordinated plan. You get one team accountable for how the kitchen looks, where it sits, and how it connects, under one contract, matched to the finish of the rest of the backyard.
Why choose us
An island built into the yard, not parked on it.
An outdoor kitchen is masonry, appliances, and utility runs that all have to work together and survive Southern California weather. Here is how we build it right the first time.
CSLB License #1103138. Verifiable through the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) before you sign anything.
Grills, burners, refrigeration, storage, and countertops set into a masonry island on a finished patio, sized to the appliances and the way you cook and serve.
Gas, water, and power to the island are planned and run as part of the overall backyard construction, so the island lands where the connections already are.
Design, hardscape, utility runs, and the island itself managed by one accountable crew under one contract, matched to the finish of the rest of the yard.

Our process
We start with a site walk to see the patio or the space where it will go, and to talk through how you actually entertain, whether that is a grill and a couple of bar stools or a full cook-and-serve island with a pizza oven and a beverage station. From there we lay out the island in the backyard plan and mark where gas, water, and power need to run so those are set before the hardscape is finished, not chased through it later. We build the island, set the countertops, install the appliances, and connect the utilities as part of the coordinated backyard build. We finish with a walkthrough so you know how everything works and how to keep it looking new.
