For new-construction homeowners

New home built. Backyard unfinished.

We design, clear HOA approval, secure permits, and build the complete yard as one coordinated project.

The builder handoff

Why the dirt stays longer than anyone planned.

The builder is finished, but the next decisions span design, approvals, and several trades. That fragmentation is the real delay.

01
The house is finished. The yard is not.
Production builders hand you the keys to a complete home and a back lot that is graded dirt, a hose bib, and a fence.
02
The HOA has its own timeline.
A design packet arrives with setbacks, approved material lists, and review deadlines you never asked to manage.
03
Doing it piecemeal means five contractors.
A designer, a hardscaper, a pool builder, a landscaper, and someone to pull permits, all needing to agree on one lot.
04
Meanwhile the best room sits empty.
Until the backyard is done, the most valuable space you just paid for is the one you cannot use.

One accountable sequence

From first sketch to first evening outside.

The project moves in one line instead of being handed between disconnected vendors.

  1. 01

    Design

We walk your lot, listen to how you want to live outside, and turn it into a 3D design with a clear written scope. You approve the whole backyard before any dirt moves.

  2. 02

    HOA and permits

We prepare the architectural submittal and pull city permits in-house, so your project clears review without stop-work surprises.

  3. 03

    Build

One licensed crew builds the entire yard: grading, hardscape, structures, pool and spa, planting, and lighting. One schedule, one point of contact.

  4. 04

    Live

You walk out the back door into the room you bought the house for. The best one in the place, and the only one without a roof.

See the work in motion

Watch the yard take shape.

Real footage from Five Stars projects: the full transformation, the whole lot from above, and the crew in the middle of the work.

From bare lot to finished yard

A time-lapse compresses the transformation into one view, from the open site to a complete outdoor space.

The whole-site view

Aerial footage makes the coordination visible: turf, pavers, shade, planting, and circulation inside one compact lot.

The work in progress

Installation footage shows the layout, transitions, edges, and field decisions underneath the finished design.

Design before demolition

See the yard before we break ground.

Walk the 3D design, adjust the pool, widen the patio, and resolve the layout on screen. Once approved, the design becomes the shared construction reference.

Approval is part of the build

The HOA packet is ours to read.

We prepare the architectural package, coordinate review, pull permits, and keep the approved documents connected to the field work.

Before the site walk

What new homeowners ask first.

Call (818) 740-6519
01When should we start, relative to our closing date?

The earlier the better. Design and HOA review both take time, so reaching out around the time you go into escrow, or right after you close, means the build can begin soon after you move in. If you have already been in the home for a while, that is fine too. We meet you wherever you are.

02Do you handle the HOA approval and the permits?

Yes, both, in-house. We prepare the architectural review drawings and submittal package, pull the city permits, and schedule the inspections. You never read the packet or chase paperwork yourself.

03How long does a new-home backyard take?

It depends on the scope of the yard and your HOA review timelines. We give you a realistic schedule in writing before any work begins, so the finish date does not keep moving.

04Do we need separate contractors for the pool and the rest of the yard?

No. One licensed team handles the design, hardscape, structures, pool and spa, planting, and finishing under one contract and one schedule. You are not the one making five trades agree.

05Which areas do you serve?

Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, with a focus on new-construction communities across Southern California.

06Is there a fee for the consultation?

No. The on-site consultation and the 3D design are free. You get a clear written scope and a real number for your lot before any work starts.
